Run by qualified instructors at local stables, students on an Exsportise horse riding camp will receive up to three hours tuition a day, as well as the opportunity to go out on one and two hour hacks if safe and competent to do so, improving both their riding ability and confidence, and giving them a chance to see some of the beautiful scenery in Northamptonshire and Dorset! Riders will be shown many aspects of stable management, giving them a rounded experience of the sport.
The Horse Riding Summer Camps are for children aged between 10 - 16. We make every effort to match horses and riders according to experience and ability so that everyone will have fun, taking away happy memories of riding in the south of England. Your child's safety as well as their enjoyment is our priority.
We offer students 15 hours of instruction a week, and the course runs with the Multi Sport programme in the afternoons. For more information on the Multi Sport programme, please click here.
We offer instruction aimed at beginners and intermediates. You might be keen to learn how to ride; you may be a nervous rider or a rider who has lost confidence; you may wish to improve your own performance; you might have a problem to solve. Whatever it is you need to learn, we will be keen to help with your individual requirements.
Beginners can start riding - or continue their progress - with our group lessons. Riders will learn how to balance and control the horse, and then progress to trotting, cantering and jumping as they become more secure and balanced.
Intermediate riders who are already competent with trotting and cantering - and maybe jumping - will be able to learn how to improve body position and posture, as well as improving all skills over obstacles and riding courses.
Riders will be shown many aspects of stable management, giving them a rounded experience of the sport. It is hoped the course will conclude with a small show/competition at the stables enabling rosettes to be awarded.
As we have a limited number of places available, it is a good idea to reserve your space soon to ensure participation in the next Exsportise Summer Horse Riding Camp.
