Our International Dance Academy experience is curated and led by professional dance instructors and experienced international performers from the famous Acosta Dance Foundation, such as Luanda Pau, Kendra Chiagoro Noel, and Miguel Gonzalez.
What will students learn: The student-led dance programme covers a range of popular genres, including Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, Cuban and Cultural. Drawing on strong core foundations and footwork, the progressive programme is structured to equip students with the technical skills to perform across various styles.
The dance lessons cater to all levels. Each dancer's journey and weekly programme is shaped around their individual needs, goals, and interests, ensuring personalised guidance in every class. Advanced dancers benefit from focused coaching to refine technique, enhance performance quality, and take on more challenging choreography. Novice dancers receive structured, supportive instruction to build confidence and develop strong foundational skills and footwork.
Daily training structure: Each day begins with a structured warm-up designed to help dancers build strength, flexibility, fitness, and stamina. Following this, focused technique and choreography sessions sharpen skills and creativity, culminating in a recovery cool-down session. By refining body alignment, placement, and execution across various styles, dancers gain versatility and a solid technical foundation. This intensive but supportive training challenges dancers at every level, building confidence and encouraging creative risk-taking.
Performance: With expert guidance, our dancers build towards unique student-led performances, where participants showcase their choreographed dances in front of the camp. Our dance teachers encourage and support students to perform as a group and also express themselves through solo or smaller group performances. The emphasis on performance not only highlights technical progress but also develops teamwork, resilience and stage presence.
Benefits and results
Dance at Exsportise is about much more than learning steps and techniques. It helps students develop confidence, creativity and mental resilience, skills that extend far beyond the dance studio. Performing in front of a live audience helps build self-confidence and encourages young people to express themselves with energy and clarity. These benefits are all core elements of our Team Orange philosophy, making our residential English and Dance Summer Camp in the UK an experience that supports both personal growth and social connection for international students.
