Deferral (12 months) Optional Add-on Terms & Conditions

Optional Extra: Deferral Add-on (12 months)– £100

For £100, you can add the option to defer your course fees to the following booking year (following course year) if your child cannot attend the course you have booked, provided the deferral is requested no later than 14 days before the course start date.

This allows your fees to be held as a credit for a future booking, offering added flexibility when booking in advance.

What this means:

This credit does not reserve new dates automatically – you will choose from available courses when booking opens (usually from October).

If next year’s course costs more, you’ll pay the difference. If it costs less, no refund is given. Please visit the following links for more information on the conditions of a Deferral Add-on (12 months) :

1. Deferral Add-On Fee

1.1 At the time of booking, You may purchase an optional Course Fee Deferral Add-On (“Deferral Add-On”) for a fee of £50.

1.2 The Deferral Add-On is only valid if all Course fees and the Deferral Add-On fee have been paid in full.

1.3 The Deferral Add-On fee is refundable if cancelled:
1.3.1 within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with Your statutory consumer cancellation rights; or
1.3.2 up to and including 1 May of the year in which the original Course is due to start.

1.4 After this time, the Deferral Add-On fee becomes non-refundable.

1.5 The Deferral Add-On fee is separate from, and does not form part of, the Course fees.

2. Nature of the Deferral

2.1 The Deferral Add-On allows Course fees already paid (excluding the Deferral Add-On fee) to be held as a credit (“Deferred Credit”) and used towards the booking of an eligible Exsportise Course in the following calendar year (1-year deferral), subject to availability.

2.2 Deferred Credit does not secure or reserve any specific Course dates, locations, or programmes until a new booking is made.

2.3 Course dates and fees for the following year are typically confirmed in or after October, and Deferred Credit may only be applied once those Courses are released for sale.

3. Eligibility, Age Limits and Interaction with Refund & Cancellation Policy

3.1 In accordance with the Age Eligibility provisions set out elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions, all Exsportise Courses are only available to students aged 9–17 inclusive at the time of attendance.

3.2 Where a Course booking has been deferred using the Optional Course Fee Deferral Add-On and the student will be over the maximum eligible age at the time of attendance of any Course in the year to which the Course fees are deferred, the Deferred Credit cannot be redeemed by that student.

3.3 In such circumstances, and notwithstanding the standard Cancellation and Refund Policy set out in these Terms and Conditions:
a) no refund of Course fees shall be due; however
b) the £50 Deferral Add-On fee shall be refunded in full; and
c) as a limited exception, the Deferred Credit may be applied towards the booking of an eligible Exsportise Course in the following calendar year for either:
- a sibling of the original student; or
- a first cousin of the original student,
provided that such student meets all published eligibility requirements and the booking is subject to availability.

3.4 This exception:

  • applies only where Deferred Credit cannot be used due to the original student exceeding the eligible age range;

  • does not permit any cash refund, resale, or further transfer of Deferred Credit; and

  • does not allow the Deferred Credit to be deferred again to a subsequent year.

3.5 It is the sole responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to ensure that any student for whom Deferred Credit is applied meets the applicable age and eligibility requirements at the time of attendance.

3.6 Exsportise Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, cost, or damage arising where Deferred Credit cannot be used due to the original student exceeding the eligible age range, save for the limited remedies expressly set out in this Clause 3.

4. Conditions of Use

4.1 Deferral may only be requested no later than 14 days before the original Course start date.

4.2 Deferral is not available once the student has arrived at Camp or the Course has commenced, regardless of reason. In such cases, the standard cancellation policy will apply.

4.3 Deferred Credit:
a) may only be used once;
b) may not be deferred again to a subsequent year; and
c) may not be transferred to another student or booking (unless the student meets the criteria set out in Clause 3).

4.4 Deferred Credit has no cash value and does not entitle You to any refund of Course fees.

5. Course Fees and Price Differences

5.1 Deferred Credit will be applied at its original monetary value to the Course fees applicable in the year it is redeemed.

5.2 If the Course fees in the deferred year are higher, You must pay the difference before the booking is confirmed.

5.3 If the Course fees are lower, no refund of the difference will be made.

6. Availability

6.1 All deferred bookings are subject to availability at the time of rebooking.

6.2 Exsportise Ltd does not guarantee availability on any specific Course, dates, or locations in the deferred year.

7. General

7.1 The Optional Course Fee Deferral Add-On does not replace, amend, or override any other provisions of the Exsportise Terms and Conditions, save where expressly stated.

7.2 All other terms, including those relating to cancellation, refunds, eligibility, course changes, and liability, shall apply as if no deferral had been granted.
